Tamara obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from San Jose State University and went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. While working towards her Master's degree, she also completed a certificate program in Counter-terrorism studies.

 

After graduating with her Master's degree, Tamara started her career in New York at T&M Protection Resources, a privately held global security company specializing in security, cyber security, intelligence, & investigations, as an Investigator and Fraud Analyst. There, she co-developed and participated in a Fraud, Waste and Abuse employee training program. After moving back to the Bay Area, Tamara began working for WePay, a payments processing company, as a Risk and Compliance Analyst. Currently, Tamara is continuing her growth in the Risk and Compliance space at PayPal. 

Throughout her experience, Tamara has prepared and conducted trainings on Security Awareness, Threat Awareness, Active Shooter, and Health and Safety for security officers. Along with her training experience, Tamara has also assisted in Threat Vulnerability and Security Assessments. 

 

When she's not at work, Tamara enjoys trying new restaurants with friends and family, playing with her dogs, and staying active at the gym. She is an animal lover and hopes to one day start her own animal shelter for rescue pets.
